2019 Ram 1500 Wins Best Interior Award

Ram took the 1500 pickup truck that everyone loves and made it even better for the 2019 model year! Some of the notable enhancements include a total of 45.1 inches of legroom for the rear passengers (no other pickup truck in this segment offers this much room!) and the very first use of the 12-inch touchscreen that is fully configurable. These enhancements and so many more landed the 2019 Ram 1500 on the Ward's 10 Best Interior for 2018 list. The WardsAuto editorial staff evaluated the interior of 40 vehicles and narrowed it down to the very best 10! In order to be evaluated the vehicle needed to be brand new or received serious upgrades. The WardsAuto Interiors Conference will take place in Detroit's Cobo Conference Center on May 30th, and the top 10 vehicles will be honored during the event. 

The 2019 Ram 1500 is loaded with amazing features that make the interior sophisticated and luxurious! One of the most prominent changes is the reconfigured instrument panel featuring the brand new 12-inch touchscreen interface with Ram's first use of the Uconnect 4C NAV system. This screen is pretty incredible! You can utilize one application on all 12-inches of the screen or two applications at the same time each utilizing half the screen! This brand-new 1500 model has also expanded the storage capacity (offering almost 100 percent more space than other pickup trucks) so all your items stay organized and close at hand. The center console has 12 different configuration options and has been expanded to a total of 39 liters. There is even a wider docking spot for your phones and small tablets that offers optional wireless charging! Underneath the cupholders, you'll find another storage spot that is roomy enough for a laptop as big as 15-inches to fit. There are even more technology updates inside this truck including five more USB ports that all work in conjunction with the Uconnect interface so no matter where you are sitting in this truck you can control the road trip tunes! There are also three 115-volt outlets to keep all your other electronics charged up (two inside the truck and one in the RamBox storage compartment). No other Ram 1500 model has ever offered this many outlets. 

Ram also took passenger comfort to the next level in the all-new 1500! This pickup utilizes a brand new HVAC system that produces almost 25 percent more airflow!  For those that are sitting in the back, the airflow back there has been increased by 50%, so passengers will be sitting comfortably. Ram also increased the rear passenger legroom to 45.1-inches the most ever in a pickup truck this size! The rear seats also slide, recline and come with the exclusive Smart-Fold center armrest providing a captain's chair experience for optimum relaxation. Acoustic glass and an active noise cancellation system are standard on models powered by the 5.7L Hemi V8 making this the quietest Ram 1500 ever built!
