When you think about the Dodge Challenger, you think about power; the 2023 version is no exception! The base engine, available for the SXT and the GT, is a 3.6-liter V6 that dishes out 303 horsepower while adding an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard, but you can get all-wheel-drive on the first two trims if you choose. The rest of the trim lineup comes with powerful V8 options! The R/T trim leads us off with a 5.7-liter V8 which gets you an impressive 372 horsepower with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission or 375 horses with the six-speed manual transmission. The Scat Pack is next, and it has a 6.4-liter V8 dishing out 485 horsepower with both the six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission. The highest of the high trims is the SRT Hellcat, and it more than lives up to its name with 717 horsepower, 791 horsepower with the Hellcat Redeye, and an unheard-of 807 horses with the SRT Super Stock! 

In addition to the massive power that the Challenger has, drivers and passengers will be treated to some impressive features even at the base trim level. The SXT leads things off with 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, keyless entry/ignition, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Several luxury items are also available for the Challenger SXT, including cloth upholstery with a cool-looking exterior houndstooth pattern,  a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. As you move higher up the trim lineup, you will be treated to more impressive items such as  Brembo brakes, limited-slip differentials, active exhaust systems, launch control, Widebody packages, larger alloy wheels, configurable driving modes, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and satellite radio. The R/T trim and higher add to this with more performance features, such as an adaptive suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Standard is a Forward Collision Warning system that will detect when you are about to get into a head-on collision and will warn you with visual and audio cues; and can even apply the brakes if you fail to do so. You also have the option of Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around your Challenger and let you know when it is safe to change lanes. Adaptive Cruise Control will allow you to put in a preset distance to maintain safety when behind another vehicle. Other optional safety features include automatic high beams and rear parking sensors.
