2025 Ramcharger Revealed

As Ram's first-ever plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger seamlessly blends gas and electric power in a unique way. Unlike many other PHEVs, the Ramcharger's internal combustion engine, the acclaimed Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine, acts as a gas-powered generator for the truck, with no mechanical linkage between it and the wheels. Instead, the V6 engine is accompanied by a 138-kilowatt onboard generator that translates the engine's mechanical energy into electrical energy and sends it to the electric drive modules (EDM). The front axle hosts a 250-kilowatt EDM to power the front wheels, while the rear wheels are powered by a 238-kilowatt EDM mounted to the rear axle, providing the confidence of all-wheel drive. This impressive setup gives drivers up to 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque for up to 14,000 pounds of towing capacity and a 4.4-second 0-60 time. Even better, range anxiety is virtually a thing of the past in the Ramcharger, with up to 690 miles of total driving range! Drivers are in complete control of the Ramcharger's usage by using buttons on the side of the P/R/N/D rotary dial. These buttons include Electric+, E-Save, and Eco, while other modes – Charge Depleting, Battery Hold, eAWD, and eSport are also available, giving drivers the ability to fully customize their power and usage.

The Ramcharger draws much of its design inspiration from the facelift that the traditional Ram 1500 received for the 2025 model year. However, while honoring its roots, the Ramcharger brings noticeable design elements that boldly announce that it is not just another Ram 1500! Up front, you'll find a modernized LED-illuminated 'RAM' emblem at the center of the grille, flanked by redesigned headlights with brilliant LED lights and stylish LED daytime running lights. Like the 2025 Ram 1500, the grille is leaned forward for an intimidatingly confident look. A fine character line runs from the headlights to the taillights, helping the side profile flow smoothly from front to back. Meanwhile, the driver-side front quarter panel is home to the charging port, equipped for Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 charging cords. At the rear, the taillights feature a new vertical design, while the tailgate hosts the same modernized 'RAM' emblem as the grille. 

Stepping inside, the Ramcharger features new textures, colors, and premium materials. It is also equipped with the latest technologies, making your drives more connected and convenient. The standard 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen features full-array local dimming for a higher contrast ratio than traditional touchscreens with edge lighting. Meanwhile, a larger 14.5-inch touchscreen is also available. Both screens offer a split-screen view for the seamless operation of two applications. A traditional gauge cluster is replaced with a fully digital screen that can be customized to show the driver's preferred information with more than two dozen menu options for a wide range of configurations. Ram introduces a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive touchscreen display for the first time ever in 2025. This screen gives the front passenger access to navigation, exterior cameras, entertainment features, and more for a copiloting experience.
