The year 2020 is a big one for Dodge; it became the first-ever domestic brand in 34 years to rank number one in the JD Power initial quality study. Dodge improved seven spots from a year ago. Perhaps just as significant that the entire FIAT Chrysler company as all of its models rose significantly in the rankings in 2020, giving a massive bump to all of its vehicles. Dodge tied for the top spot amongst 31 other competitors and is the first time in the history of the study that Dodge has outperformed the industry average. Using reported problems per 100 vehicles as a base, Dodge's total of 153 was 13 less than the overall industry average and ten less than the nearest competitor. J.D.
