True power and performance, while coming with four doors, sounds like an impossible task. Dodge has made this dream a reality in the Dodge Charger, and in the 2019 model year, the Charger is more impressive than ever. You don't have to choose between a sedan and performance, and with the Dodge Charger you can take the whole family for a spin, while putting the pedal to the metal. Another perk of this muscle car sedan are the multiple trim level options that you get to choose from. In the 2019 model year there are six models, and each of them offers a unique twist in order to give you a wide variety of options to choose from. For information on the six trim levels, then keep reading down below.
SXT:
This first trim, the base, comes with a long list of standard and available features. The standard features include electronic stability control, three 12-volt power outlets, remote start, automatic halogen projector headlamps with LED accents, cruise control, capless fuel filler, and electric power steering. The available options include a Caramel Nappa leather interior, Houndstooth cloth sport seats, a Cold Weather Package, and a Blacktop Package. These features complement a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which can pump out 260 lb-ft of torque and 292 horsepower. This engine works with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
GT:
Going up a trim level will get you the GT. This trim adds more of a focus on performance, and gives you features like 20-inch Satin Carbon and Black Noise wheel options, a performance hood, Dark Dub Plate instrument panel, performance fascia, Houndstooth cloth bolstered performance seats, sculpted side sills, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, standard performance suspension, Dodge Performance Pages, 3.07 rear axle ratio, and enhanced steering with paddle shifters. You can also add the Cold Weather Package in order to get features like heated cloth driver and passenger seats, and a heated steering wheel. This engine works with the same engine as the SXT, but the power generated goes straight to the rear-wheels.
SXT AWD:
This trim is very similar to the base model SXT, with one big difference. The SXT AWD trim comes standard with all-wheel drive, which helps to minimize powertrain parasitic losses. This system works with an active transfer case, and front-axle disconnect. Some available options with this trim includes the Blacktop package, Caramel Nappa leather interior, Houndstooth cloth sport seats, and the Cold Weather package.
R/T:
Situated in the middle on the lineup, the R/T trim adds even more standard features that are perfect for performance. These features include a 2.62 rear axle ratio, a steering wheel with paddle shifters, Houndstooth cloth bolstered performance seats, performance spoiler, performance seats, performance hood, a Dark Dub Plate instrument panel, and a standard performance suspension. Along with these features is a HEMI 5.7-liter V8 engine. This engine can create 395 lb-ft of torque and 370 horsepower. The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, standard with the previous trim levels, also comes standard with the R/T.Â
R/T Scat Pack:
The next to last trim option, the R/T Scat Pack, knows how to pack a punch. Some of the standard features that you'll be excited to see added include a switch on the dashboard in order to initialize Launch Control, a Scat Pack bee badge, Houndstooth cloth performance seat with Scat Pack bee logo, a performance grille with dual air inlets, and a Dark Dub Plate instrument panel with Scat Pack bee logo. A few available features include Bilstein three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension, Dual Carbon stripes, and a Satin Black-painted hood. The engine from the R/T is placed with a naturally aspirated 392 HEMI V8, which outputs 475 lb-ft of torque and 485 horsepower.
SRT Hellcat:
The highest trim available, the SRT Hellcat, is truly the culmination of power and features from the previous trim levels. This trim not only gives you Line Lock, Launch Assist, After-Run Chiller, and Torque Reserve, but you'll also be able to add Brass Monkey 20-inch forged wheels and an Alcantara interior package. The engine that boosts this trim beyond any of its competition is a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, which can produce 650 lb-ft of torque and 707 horsepower. The always reliable eight-speed automatic transmission complements the engine, along with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.
