Which 2019 Dodge Journey Trim Level is Right for my Family?

The Dodge Journey is a seven-passenger/three-row SUV perfect for a variety of families! Now that you know the Journey is the right SUV for you, its time to decide which trim level is right. In the 2019 model year, Dodge has reduced the trim lineup to three models, the SE, Crossroad, and GT, allowing for more standard features throughout. We are going over each trim and all that they have to offer in full detail below to help you find the one that best meets the needs of your family!

SE: The base SE trim level comes outfitted with a host of standard features that make it a great contender! Just some of those features include a 4.3-touchscreen interface, automatic headlights, a six-speaker sound system, heated side mirrors, roof rails, 17-inch steel wheels, fog lights, a height-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and ignition, and an auxiliary audio input. When it comes to seating, the second-row seats fold with a 60/40 split and the third row folds with a 50/50 split. Both rows make it easy to get in and out with sliding and reclining abilities.

This trim level can be outfitted with the optional Connectivity package which adds a USB port, Bluetooth, voice commands, satellite radio, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Comfort/Convenience package is also available adding a power-adjustable driver's seat and enhanced cloth upholstery. The Blacktop package is also available, adding blacked-out trim and 17" alloy wheels. The final package, the Premium Group combines the features from the Comfort/Convenience and the Connectivity package!

Crossroad: Moving up to the Crossroad trim level adds all the features from the SE with the Premium package as well as a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen interface, 19-inch wheels, three-zone climate control, a touring-tune suspension, leather-upholstery, rear-seat vents, and three-zone climate control. There are quite a few stand-alone features available for this trim. They include a premium sound system with a subwoofer, a rear-seat entertainment system, remote engine start, and heated front seats. A Driver Convenience package, available for the Crossroad, adds a universal garage door opener and rear parking sensors.

GT: At the top of the trim lineup is the GT trim level. This model comes outfitted with all the features from the Crossroad and all the Crossroad's optional features. Plus, an upgraded suspension for an even smoother ride and exclusive 19-inch wheels.

There are two powertrain options available for the 2019 model year. The standard Journey powertrain is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Both the FWD SE and Crossroad trim levels are outfitted with this engines. The second powertrain, a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine powers the GT trim level and AWD models.
